Work-fit matrix

Commission code only after the alternatives fail honestly.

The question is not “What can be built?” It is “What level of intervention produces a reliable result without creating unnecessary ownership?”

Fit matrix

Three routes, with clear rejection signals.

Use the columns as a decision record. A route is not “better” because it is more technical; it is better when its ownership, risk, and constraints match the actual operation.

RouteGood fitWarning signalUseful deliverable
BuyCommon process, mature vendor category, acceptable workflowThe team wants heavy customisation just to preserve an old habitRequirements shortlist, vendor questions, configuration plan
ConnectExisting tools are sound but data and approvals cross them badlyNo owner exists for failures, credentials, or data definitionsSystem map, field contract, exception queue, monitoring plan
BuildSpecific long-lived gap, defensible workflow, clear product ownerScope is “everything,” proof is vague, or maintenance has no ownerThin-slice release, acceptance cases, source and handoff contract

Intervention catalogue

Work Faith Forge Labs can own.

Projects are scoped around the smallest coherent result. The studio can research, implement, test, and hand off technical work, but it does not replace the client's operational owner, qualified adviser, or accredited local provider.

Workflow and approval systems

Internal request paths, case queues, role-based decisions, exception handling, notifications, and audit-friendly status history.

System integration

APIs, scheduled synchronisation, webhooks, imports, exports, identity boundaries, retry logic, reconciliation, and operational monitoring.

Purpose-built portals and tools

Customer, partner, staff, or management surfaces where access, data, and decisions need one deliberate workflow.

Modernisation and rescue

Repairing brittle software, untangling abandoned builds, replacing manual spreadsheets, and making ownership visible again.

Non-fit register

Good projects also say no.

Faith Forge Labs should not be selected to provide Singapore legal or tax determinations, certify compliance, guarantee grant eligibility, impersonate a local office, or supply an accredited-provider status it does not hold.

Do not custom-build around an untested process

Run the workflow manually, observe exceptions, and name an owner first.

Do not integrate undefined records

Agree on field meaning, source authority, duplicate policy, and correction ownership before connecting tools.

Do not launch without acceptance

Define who signs off, which cases must pass, what rollback means, and who owns the system after handoff.
